GREELEY, Colo. – After a three-week break, Northern Colorado Cross Country will hit the trails again as they compete at the Woody Greeno Dirksen Invitational, co-hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan and Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska.
For the seventh straight year, the meet will be held at the Mahoney Park Golf Course. With excellent footing, long straightaways, and rolling terrain, it is the ideal location for a cross-country racing. The men's 8k will begin at 9 a.m. MT/10 a.m. CT with the women beginning at 9:50 a.m. MT/10:50 a.m. CT.
Over 30 teams are scheduled to compete, including Air Force, Creighton, Missouri, Nebraska, Omaha, and Wichita State.
LAST TIME OUT
Northern Colorado opened the 2025 cross country season at Wyoming's 5K meet. Junior Logan Gullet led the men in 25th (16:21.85), while freshman Sabina Stroia paced the women with a 20th-place finish (18:57.65).
UP NEXT
The women's team will travel to Louisville, Kentucky on October 4 for the Louisville Classic while the men will compete at the UCCS XC Open in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 10.
