Bears and Mavericks to Play Doubleheader Friday
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado's (8-15, 3-3) series at Omaha (5-17, 0-6) shifted due to potential inclement weather.
The Bears and Mavericks series moved to a doubleheader Friday, March 28, beginning at 1 p.m. MT, with game two following approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one at Tal Anderson Field.
Game three is set for Saturday, March 29 at 3 p.m. MT.
UNC dropped 2-of-3 last weekend against North Dakota State, falling fourth in the Summit League standings. The Bears opened conference play with a 2-1 series win over South Dakota State and has a minus 3 run differential through the first two weekends.
Omaha suffered its second sweep in two weeks of league play. The Mavericks began Summit League play at St. Thomas, dropping all three games. Opponents outscored Omaha 63-25 (-38) over the first six games.
Following the series in Nebraska, UNC continues its road trip with three at St. Thomas, before traveling to Air Force Tuesday, April 8. The Bears and Falcons conclude the suspended game on Feb. 25, before playing the scheduled contest.

Northern Colorado earned the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Performers of the Week in three of the first five weeks of the season. Jake King claimed the first two players of the week honors, while Gienger took home pitcher of the week, after his performance against Utah Valley in the series opener. He fanned 14, matching the school record.
