Track & Field Travels to Arkansas

The Bears will compete in their last indoor meet before the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championships
GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado track & field team will head to Fayetteville to compete in the Arkansas Qualifier at the Randal Tyson Track Center. The meet is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The field will include over 31 teams, including Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU, Texas, UCLA and Virginia.
The Bears will begin competition at 1:10 p.m. with the men's 60m hurdle preliminaries, with the rest of the events following throughout the afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The track & field team had a strong performance at the Wisconsin Windy City Invite, with multiple athletes breaking records and recording personal bests. Zander Cruzan broke the 400m record for the third time this season, finishing with a time of 46.29. Regina Mpigachai rebroke the UNC record in the 3000m, initially set by her in 2023, finishing with a time of 9:13.77. She also broke her own 800m record, finishing with a time of 2:05.73, placing her fifth on the Big Sky All-Time Top 10 list. Nathan Plant competed in the 600m and recorded a personal best time of 1:20.99. He also raced in the 800m and finished with a season best time of 1:54.72.

The Bears will travel to Flagstaff, Arizona to compete at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Walkup Skydome Feb. 27-28.
