OMAHA, Neb. – Northern Colorado softball returns to action this weekend at the Omaha Tournament.

The Bears will compete against Valparaiso, Kansas City, Rider, and Omaha.

Omaha Tournament Schedule

Saturday, March 9

Northern Colorado vs. Valparaiso – 10 a.m.
Northern Colorado vs. Kansas City – 2:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 10

Northern Colorado vs. Kansas City – 12:15 p.m.

Monday, March 11

Northern Colorado vs. Rider – 10 a.m.
Northern Colorado at Omaha – 12:15 p.m.

UNC pitchers in the zone

Over the past two weekends, a UNC pitcher has thrown a perfect game and a no-hitter.

Senior Erin Caviness threw the first perfect game in the NCAA Division I era in a 1-0 win over UC – Santa Barbara. Caviness also struck out eight batters. Caviness also earned the Big Sky Pitcher of the Week.

This past weekend, it was junior Isabelle DiNapoli throwing the no-hitter in an 8-0 win over Manhattan. She was also named the Big Sky Pitcher of the Week.
