Bears Drop Series Finale at LA Tech

RUSTON, La. – Northern Colorado suffered an 8-0 setback against Louisiana Tech at J.C. Love Field Sunday.
The Bears (0-4) offense tallied four singles, with one each from Craig Kenny, Jake King, Brandon Sanchez and Brandon Stricklin. Kenny worked a walk, while Stricklin and Garrett Fisher each reached on a hit-by-pitch.
In the first, King lined the first pitch of the game into centerfield before being erased on a fielder's choice.
Kenny beat out an infield single to start the second. The Bears' best scoring chance occurred in the seventh when Fisher went to first after being struck by a pitch and moved to second with a two-out knock by Stricklin. Sanchez recorded a two-out single in the eighth.
LA Tech never looked back after posting four runs in the third. The Bulldogs tacked on one in the fifth, two in the sixth and a solo tally in their final at-bat.
