Bears Ready for Shocker Invitational

GREELEY, Colo. -- The Northern Colorado softball team is set to play in the Shocker Invitational this weekend, March 17-19, hosted by Wichita State.
UNC takes on South Dakota State at 10 a.m. (MT) and Wichita State at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, the Bears face-off against the Jackrabbits at 4:45 p.m. Northern Colorado then closes out the weekend against Wichita State on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
The games against Wichita State will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Northern Colorado enters the weekend with a 12-10 overall record, coming off a home-weekend sweep of Kansas City.
Lauren Strathearn leads the Bears with a .414 batting average, having recorded 29 hits in 70 at-bats so far this season. In the circle, Erin Caviness holds an 8-2 record and holds a 2.94 ERA through 69.0 innings pitched.
