Softball Concludes Homestand with Weber State

UNC Softball hosts league leading Weber State this weekend
GREELEY, Colo.- UNC Softball will once again face a Big Sky opponent in Greeley as they take on Weber State to conclude a seven-game homestand on Friday and Saturday.

The Bears will jump back into Big Sky play following a game against in-state foes, Colorado State.

Against the Rams, the team came up short, 10-1. Alyssa Wenzel was responsible for bringing home the lone run of the game, hitting a triple that scored Hannah Knox to get the Bears on the board. Jaycie Gandert led the team in hitting, earning two hits on the day.

Northern Colorado now looks to return to the win column in front of their home fans over the weekend, as they compete in a three-game series against the Wildcats. Weber State enters the weekend first in the Big Sky at 8-0 with UNC in fourth with a 5-4 record.

They will play twice on Friday, with first pitch of the doubleheader set for 1 pm MT. The third and final game of the series will begin at noon MT.

Weber State will bring the Bears' seven-game homefield advantage to an end, as they hit the road to take on Montana on April 29-30.
