Bears Drop Mid-Week Game To Rams

UNC Softball fell to Colorado State 10-1 Tuesday
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado softball was unable to overcome its mistakes on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Colorado State 10-1.
The Bears were neck and neck with the Rams when removing their five errors leading to six unearned runs.
Alyssa Wenzel drove home the team's lone run of the game in the second with a triple down the right field line to score Hannah Knox. That tied the game at one after CSU scored in the top of the first.
The Bears committed three errors in the third inning leading to six runs for Colorado State to trail 7-1.
Down, but not out, Northern Colorado stranded a pair of runners in the fifth and sixth when trying to make the comeback.
Freshman Jaycie Gandert led the team with two hits in the game.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado concludes its seven-game homestand by hosting Big Sky leading Weber State on Friday and Saturday. Friday's doubleheader starts at 1 pm.
