Softball Drops a Pair on Sunday

UNC softball fell to Washington and Colorado State
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado softball concluded its weekend dropping a pair of games to Washington and Colorado State. The Bears fell to UW 9-0 and CSU 9-1.
Lauren Strathern did a good job flipping the lineup for the Bears going 3-for-4 in the nine hole. All three hits were singles.
Freshman Jenna Kobernick also had multiple hits on the day with a hit in each game.
Alison Steinker was the lone Bear to score on the day when she reached on a single and advanced to third on a chaotic play that saw Katie Simonsgaard out at the plate and included a Ram's error. She came home on a wild pitch with Paola Villegas at the plate.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado hits the road for the first time in two weeks heading outside the state of Colorado. UNC will face Incarnate Word and host Texas Tech for a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20. One game apiece against each team each day.
