Kaileigh Holland homers in the game for UNC
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado softball returned to the field after its weekend was cut short due to weather last week to take on in-state foe Colorado State in Fort Collins on Friday afternoon. UNC fell to the Rams 13-2.
The Bears' offense struggled during the early part of the game until the top of the order got things going in the fourth. Jaycie Gandert got it started with a double down the right field line. She came home in the next at-bat as Kaleigh Holland hit her third home run of the year.
The Bears threatened in the fifth loading the bases with two outs. That included Riley Plogger extending her hit streak to 14 games. Unfortunately, they were unable to score some runs to keep the game going.

Northern Colorado will play a pair in Fort Collins tomorrow facing Washington at 10 am and Colorado State at noon.
