Northern Colorado women's basketball hosted Big Sky regular season champion Montana State on Friday night falling to the Bobcats 73-63.Â
It was Senior Night for Bridget Hintz, Abby Kain and Ali Meyer. The trio combined for 12 points and 18 rebounds in their final game at Bank of Colorado Arena.Â
Three Bears finished the night in double figures as Alisha Davis and Jasmine Gayles tied for the team lead with 15 points each.Â
Scouting the Hornets
Sacramento State aims to speed up the game with their pressing and quick shots. The uptempo play allows teams to score plenty as they are allowing 78.2 points per game.
Kennedy Nicholas leads the Hornets averaging almost a double-double with 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. She also has 44 blocks on the season.Â

UNC leads the all-time series 18-9. The Bears are currently on a seven-game win streak in it. Northern Colorado and Sacramento State have met just one other time in the Big Sky Tournament. Â That came in 2015 semifinals with the Bears winning 81-79 in overtime. Â

Since the Big Sky Tournament went to its current format in 2016, UNC has played in the first round just once. That was in 2016 when they lost to Idaho State by 10. The Bears won the Big Sky Tournament in 2018 and have advanced to the finals four times.
