Softball Hosts Home Tournament This Weekend

GREELEY - Northern Colorado is holding their first home tournament of the season this weekend. UNC will have a series of five games against Utah Valley, Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Iowa.

About the Bears
The Bears went 3-2 at the Lobo Classic for their second tournament in Albuquerque. They won against New Mexico in both games 6-5 and 8-4, as well as winning against La Salle 16-2. The Bears are 6-14 overall in 2020.

Reyna Caudillo had a batting average of .500 over the weekend, making that .407 overall for the season so far.

Mady Young did well at the plate this weekend. She scored seven runs and recorded eight RBIs.

Utah Valley
Utah Valley enters the weekend with a 10-4 record.

Abby Doughty leads the team with a .405 batting average and eight RBIs

Nebraska-Omaha
Nebraska-Omaha is entering the weekend 9-10.

Allison Helton is leading the team with a .388 batting average. She also has 19 hits and 12 runs this season.

Northern Iowa
Northern Iowa comes into the weekend 6-10.

Sammey Bunch has a batting average of .340. She has 17 hits and 17 runs so far this season, as well as 13 RBIs.

Hannah Kelley leads the team with a batting average of .367.
