Seattle uses eighth inning rally to soar past UNC

There were three opponents at play Friday when UNC and Seattle played Game 2 of their season ending series. The Bears, Redhawks and Mother Nature, who was winning for most of the afternoon when she forced a two-and-a-half-hour weather delay and even when she let up the conditions remained in her favor. Out of the two playing to better their record, it was SU who pulled away with an eighth inning rally for the 5-2 victory.
Following the weather stoppage, Sam Wyatt came out and was dominate for five innings striking out 11, but SU broke through in the eighth after UNC scored a pair of runs in the seventh to tie the game. Three hits and an error allowed the Redhawks to score three runs to grab the lead for good.
UNC tied the game on a two out single by senior Tyler Yamaguchi, he was able to come to the plate thanks to an error by Seattle.

Both teams will close out their seasons Saturday with Game 3 of the series starting at noon.
