Bears Return Home, Face Falcons Tuesday

Northern Colorado will take on another in-state for at Bank of Colorado Arena
Fresh off the first win of the season, Northern Colorado women's basketball returns to Bank of Colorado Arena. UNC will host in-state foe Air Force on Tuesday with top-off scheduled for 7 p.m.(MT).
Tickets start as low as $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here, over the phone at 970.351.4849 or in-person at the UNC Campus Commons. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Join UNC women's basketball on Tuesday for the annual Teddy Bear toss! Fans can bring a teddy bear from home or purchase one at the arena for $5. At halftime, fans toss the bears onto the court. All teddy bears and donations will go to the Boys and Girls Club and Salvation Army.
Opening Tip
Northern Colorado won its first game of the season against Southern Methodist on Saturday. UNC trailed at halftime, but outscored SMU 24-12 in the third quarter, highlighted by a 16-3 run. UNC improved to 3-0 against SMU in program history.
UNC fell in its first road game of the season to No. 3 Stanford. The Cardinal shot 54% from the floor and limited the Bears to a 22% percentage.
Alexis Chapman recorded her second 20-point game of the season against SMU with 20 points. The junior leads the Big Sky with 95 total points scored and ranks 20th in the nation with 13 three-point field goals made. She went four-of-seven from three-point range against SMU. Chapman is also fourth in the conference, averaging 16 points per game.
Kadie Deaton ranks second in the conference with 16 made free-throws and is first with 23 attempts. Deaton averages 11.5 points per game.
UNC is 10-5 in games at Bank of Colorado Arena under head coach, Jenny Huth.
Scouting the Falcons
Air Force has started the 2019-20 season 1-3 as well. The Falcons have lost two straight games against Army(66-68) and San Diego(59-70), both at home. Air Force won its first game against New Jersey Institute of Technology at home, 68-48. To open the season, the Falcons fell on the road to Arizona State, 87-56.
Emily Conroe has been productive so far this season, nearly averaging a double-double with 11 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. The junior guard has two double-doubles this season and is shooting 42% from the floor. Riley Snyder is the Falcons leading scorer, averaging 14 points per game.
History against Air Force
In program history, Northern Colorado is 21-22 against the Falcons. They have a winning record at home, going 11-9. Air Force holds the advantage on their home court, with the Bears going 10-13 in Colorado Springs. The Bears lost the last meeting between the two teams down in the Springs, with the Falcons earning the 69-57 win.
