Northern Colorado and Air Force face each other for the first time in three weeks on Tuesday
USAFA – For the second time in three weeks, UNC and Air Force will take on each other in a mid-week game. The Bears will look to snap a three-game losing streak, while Air Force is on a three-game win streak.

About the Game
Tuesday's game is the second of three between UNC and Air Force, and the first at the Air Force Academy. Northern Colorado won the first game 9-8 two weeks ago in Greeley, thanks in part to five long balls including back-to-back-to-back solo home runs in the first inning.
Scouting the Falcons
Since the first meeting against Northern Colorado, Air Force has gone 5-3, including coming off a weekend sweep of San Jose State. The Falcons bats continue to do damage to opposing staffs as they have scored 10 or more runs nine times and 20 or more two times. They are the second best hitting team in the NCAA with a .335 batting average only behind Morehead State. Leading the charge for the Falcons is Bradley Haslam and his .421 batting average. His batting average isn't even the most impressive stat this season as he is on a 42-game hit streak entering Tuesday. Of the regular starters, seven of the team's batters are hitting above .300.
While Air Force has plenty of fire power offensively, pitching has been an issue. The team's staff has a 7.17 ERA for the year. Tuesday's usual starter in Nick Biancalana is 4-3 with a 7.58 ERA. His last time against the Bears he went 3.0 innings allowing seven runs on eight hits with three strike outs. Opponents are hitting .328 on the year against Air Force.

The first ever meeting between UNC and Air Force was in May 1957 with the Bears winning 13-3.
