Greeley, Colo – Only three games remain in the 2016 regular season for the Northern Colorado Women's Soccer program and things are beginning to bunch up in the league standings. UNC's next matchup against Eastern Washington on Friday could prove vital in the final table.
The top six teams at the end of conference play make the Big Sky Tournament. Currently, the Bears are in ninth with nine points. However, a win on Friday against the Eagles would vault Northern Colorado into a tie for fourth place.
The Bears are coming off back-to-back losses at home, both were the first losses at Jackson Stadium this year for UNC.
The team's road trip also features a stop in Missoula, Montana, for a face-off against the Grizzlies. The Bears are 2-5 on the road this year, however, one of those two road victories came in the Bear's Big Sky opener against Weber State.
Eastern Washington is looking to rebound as well, coming off of their toughest weekend of Big Sky play this year. The Eagles finished a 3-3 tie against Southern Utah last Friday night and dropped their first conference game to Northern Arizona, 3-1.
It'll be the 13th meeting all-time between the Bears and the Eagles. Northern Colorado currently owns bragging rights with a record of 6-3-3 against the team from Cheney.
