Bears will face Drake and Fairleigh Dickinson at Jackson Stadium this weekend
GREELEY, Colo. - The Northern Colorado soccer team prepares for a three-game stretch at home, starting this weekend with a match against the Drake Bulldogs on Sept. 4. The Bears then face the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Friday night's 7:00 p.m. game against the Drake Bulldogs will be the fourth meeting in series history. Currently the series stands at 0-2-1, the last meeting occuring during the 2012 season when the Bears lost 1-0 at Drake. The only tie between the two teams occured at Jackson Stadium during the 2011 season.
This Sunday will be the first time the Knights have traveled to Greeley, as UNC has only played Fairleigh Dickinson one other time prior to this coming Sunday's meeting - a 2010 matchup at the Air Force Fall Classic which resulted in a 4-0 shut out for the Bears. The Knights are currently 1-3-0 in their 2015 schedule. Kick-off will be at 12:00 p.m. MT at Jackson Stadium.
Next weekend, the Bears start out at home with their last game of the season-long Colorado Cup, facing-off against the Colorado State Rams on Sept. 13th. The last time the Rams game to Greeley, the game ended in a tie at 2-2. The UNC squad will continue the weekend traveling up to Cheyenne, Wyoming on Sept. 15th in a neutral-location game against the University of Wyoming.
