Bear Facts

This is the first of two games between the Bears and Rangers this season. The Teams will play against each other again in a week, also in Greeley.
UNC had a tough week on the road going 0-5 vs Nebraska and St. Louis.

Regis comes into Tuesday afternoon's game with a 7-11 record. The Rangers compete in the Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Rangers have yet to play a home game this season going 5-11 on the road and 2-0 at a neutral site. Junior catch Ty Overboe leads the Rangers offense with a slash line of .396/.604/.517, including three doubles, two triples and a home run. Logan Knox is Regis main power hitter with a .573 slugging percentage having 19 RBI with two home runs and nine doubles. On the mound, Mat Heibult leads the team with a 3-1 record and 4.30 ERA. He has struck out 15 players in 23 innings pitched.

Northern Colorado will open up WAC play this weekend, when Chicago State comes into Greeley. The Cougars and Bears faced each other in a three game series last year with UNC sweeping it. The series will begin on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
