LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Northern Colorado Softball team faced St. Louis today in their fourth of seven games on the road. The matchup required extra innings with the Billikens winning 11-10 in the ninth.

Heading into the fifth inning, UNC trailed by two runs., 5-3, but to got the bats going.

Erica Dick singled to right field scoring Mikayla Duffy bringing Northern Colorado within one.

Jenna Jordan was next for the Bears, ripping one up the middle and scoring two runs to give UNC the 6-5 lead.

They wouldn't stop their scoring three more runs in the inning taking the 9-5 advantage with two innings to go.

St. Louis found some magic of its own in the bottom of the six putting up four runs, evening the score at nine runs apiece.
With nobody scoring in the seventh they headed to extra innings.

Northern Colorado struck first in extras with a sacrifice fly from Mikayla Duffyscoring Erica Dick on the play who was the Bears international tiebreaker rule runner.

The Billikens forced one more inning to be played in the eighth plating one run while stranding two more runners on base.

Headed into the ninth inning the game sat tied at 10.

UNC was unable to produce in the ninth, but the Billikens made one final surge, scoring one run and ending the Bears chances of revenge.
St. Louis snuck by with a, 11-10 win.

UNC will be back on the field Sunday against #23 Kansas with the game starting at 3:30 p.m.
