GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado cross country opens the 2026 season Friday at the Wyoming Invite at Little America Golf Course in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The meet marks the first competition of the season for the Bears and the first event under new head coach Nick Maas.

The college women's 5K is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the college men's race at 6:30 p.m.

Northern Colorado's women's competitors include Sofia Cambridge, Brooke Elfert, Braelyn Gifford, Isabella Lemus, Claire Nowels, Taylor Sheldon, Sabina Stroia and Jordain Stutzman.

The Bears' men's competitors include Max Kedrowski, Noah Mayoral De Anza, Tristan Persons, Tad Rabenhorst, Cody Williams and Dylan Wilson.

Friday's race opens a new chapter for the Bears as they begin their first season under Maas and start building toward the rest of the fall slate in cross country competition.
