Corder, Rogers Highlight Record-Setting Day for Bears at Jack Christiansen Invitational

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Northern Colorado Bears opened the outdoor season in strong fashion Saturday at the Jack Christiansen Invitational, highlighted by multiple event titles, program all-time marks and a series of podium finishes at Jack Christiansen Track.
Northern Colorado claimed five event victories on the day, including dominant performances in the jumps, hurdles and middle distance events, while adding several top-10 marks in program history.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Camaria Corder led the way with a historic performance in the triple jump, winning the event with a mark of 12.90m (42-4.00) to move into No. 1 all-time in program history. She also added an eighth-place finish in the 100m.
On the track, Regina Mpigachai secured a first-place finish in the 800m (2:12.12), while Monique Stewart won the 400m in 54.78, moving into No. 10 all-time at UNC. Caydence Brewer added a top-five finish in both the 100m and 200m, with her 200m time of 24.73 also ranking No. 10 all-time.
In the hurdles, Alexia Austin placed second in the 100m hurdles (14.31), followed closely by Donice Beuno-Ezealah in third (14.52). Vanessa Ward added a runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles (1:02.96).
Distance standout Claire Nowels recorded a fourth-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase, clocking 12:05.18 to move into No. 9 all-time.
In the field events, April Necaise cleared 1.66m (5-5.25) for a second-place finish in the high jump, while Savanna Amack placed third in the triple jump.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Northern Colorado's men's team matched the momentum with standout performances across sprints, hurdles and field events.
The 4x100m relay team of Edgar Garcia, Mike Miller, Daniel Beckford and Raphael Egbuchilem captured first place with a time of 40.63.
Tyler Rogers delivered a record-setting performance in the long jump, winning the event with a leap of 7.63m (25-0.50) to move into No. 1 all-time at UNC. Kaliff Guevara added another event title in the triple jump (14.72m).
On the track, Daniel Beckford led a strong showing in the 110m hurdles, placing second in 13.81 to rank No. 2 all-time, while Rayvon Walkin followed in fourth (14.32), moving into No. 4 all-time.
In the sprints, Raphael Egbuchilem finished second in the 200m (21.27) and third in the 100m (10.52), with Edgar Garcia and Johnny Fisher also placing in the top six of the 200m.
Distance runner Noah Osmond recorded a fifth-place finish in the 5000m (15:08.24), while Aaron Roll added top-10 finishes in both the 800m and 1500m.
