PREVIEW: Bears Split Between Boulder and Stanford to Continue Outdoor Season

GREELEY, Colo. — Northern Colorado continues its outdoor campaign this weekend, sending athletes to multiple meets including the Jerry Quiller Classic in Boulder and the Stanford Invitational as the Bears continue building toward the Big Sky season.
The Jerry Quiller Classic, hosted by Colorado at Potts Track, will take place April 3-4 and features a full slate of running, jumping and throwing events against a strong regional field.
Select distance and sprint athletes will also compete at the Stanford Invitational, one of the premier meets in the country.
Northern Colorado enters the weekend with momentum on both the men's and women's sides following a strong start to the outdoor season and continued progression from indoor competition.

Location: Stanford, Calif. (Cobbs Track & Angell Field)
BEARS TO WATCH: Northern Colorado's men's group is led by Daniel Beckford (10.69, 13.70 in the 110m hurdles), Edgar Garcia (10.47, 48.20) and Raphael Egbuchilem (46.65), alongside depth from Johnny Fisher, Tyler Rogers and a 4x100 relay that has run 40.28. On the women's side, Caydence Brewer (12.28, 24.73), Marely Del Campo (12.19) and Alexia Austin (12.37, 13.60 hurdles) pace the sprint group, while Camaria Corder (12.38, 5.94m LJ) and Savanna Amack (11.45m TJ) highlight the field events. Regina Mpigachai (800m/1500m) and Monique Stewart (400m/800m) will represent UNC at Stanford as the Bears continue building toward Big Sky competition.
BUILDING MOMENTUM: Northern Colorado has shown steady progression across both squads through the opening weeks of the outdoor season, with multiple personal-best and all-time marks already recorded.
With competition split across multiple meets this weekend, the Bears will face strong fields and valuable opportunities to continue improving times, gain experience and position themselves for success as the Big Sky season approaches.
UP NEXT: The Bears will head south to Golden, Colorado for a two-day meet hosted by Colorado School of Mines. Competition will take place April 10-11.
RELAY CLUB: The Relay Club elevates the UNC Track & Field and Cross Country program by enhancing training resources, providing advanced shoes and apparel, and competitive travel opportunities that allow the Bears to perform at their best. These contributions enhance the student-athlete experience and help ensure the team continues to excel on the track and in the classroom.
