PREVIEW: Bears Continue Road Swing with Three-Game Set at Omaha

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado baseball remains on the road as they travel to Omaha, Nebraska to resume Summit League play with a three-game series against the Mavericks. The series begins Friday, March 20, with first pitch set for 3 p.m. MDT.

LAST TIMEOUT: Bears baseball showed early success but came up short against No. four Arkansas in two losses, 13–2 and 9–4, as the Razorbacks pulled away late in both games. In the opener, UNC jumped out to a 2–0 lead behind an RBI from Easton Bryant, but Arkansas responded quickly and broke the game open with a four-run seventh and four more in the eighth. In the second game, Arkansas again built an early lead and held the Bears scoreless through six innings behind strong pitching from Peyton Lee. UNC rallied for four runs in the eighth, highlighted by a two-run home run from Brandon Sanchez and a two-run hit from Sam Pease, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
NOTES ABOUT THE BEARS: The Bears are hitting .271 as a group with a strong .361 on-base percentage that reflects good plate discipline and the ability to create scoring opportunities. The lineup is led by Minick (.400), Pruski (.341), and Stone (.310), giving them multiple tough outs and solid depth throughout the order.
