GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado junior hurdler Jerome Campbell is set to take the national stage this week, representing the Bears at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Campbell will compete in the 110-meter hurdles, one of the most anticipated events of the meet, held at the legendary Hayward Field from June 11–14.
Campbell punched his ticket to the championship with a historic performance at the NCAA West First Round in College Station, Texas. He scorched the track in 13.23 seconds in the quarterfinals, breaking his own school record and finishing fourth overall to secure one of the 12 qualifying spots from the West Region. He enters the meet with the eighth fastest time in the NCAA. He also ran 13.40 seconds in the opening round, showing consistency and command on one of the sport's biggest stages.
His impressive weekend didn't stop there. In addition to his hurdles success, Campbell clocked a personal-best 10.12 seconds in the 100-meter dash, another school record, and placed 13th overall, just one spot shy of advancing to nationals in a second event.
Now, Campbell heads to Oregon as one of the fastest hurdlers in the country, ready to challenge the NCAA's elite.
