EUGENE, Ore. – Northern Colorado junior Jerome Campbell capped off his incredible 2025 campaign on the national stage Wednesday night, competing in the semifinals of the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.
Running in the second of three heats, Campbell crossed the line in 13.50 seconds, finishing 11th overall out of 24 of the nation's best hurdlers, earning Second Team All-American honors. While the performance did not earn him a spot in Friday's championship final, reserved for the top two finishers in each heat plus the next three fastest times, it solidified his place among the elite in NCAA Division I track and field.
Campbell placed 5th in his heat, just 0.10 seconds shy of the final qualifying time (13.40).
The semifinal appearance marked the culmination of an incredible season for the Jamaican native, who:
Broke the UNC school record twice this postseason, most recently with a 13.23 in the NCAA West Quarterfinals.
Set a program-best 10.12 seconds in the 100m dash, narrowly missing nationals in a second event
Finished as one of the top 11 hurdlers in the country.
