Bears Advance to Quarterfinals on Day One of NCAA West Regional in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Northern Colorado track & field opened the 2025 NCAA West First Round on Wednesday with standout performances at E.B. Cushing Stadium, hosted by Texas A&M.
Junior hurdler Jerome Campbell led the Bears with a strong showing in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking 13.40 seconds to place fourth overall and advance to the quarterfinals.
Campbell also competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing 20th with a time of 10.41 seconds, securing a spot in the next round.
In the 400-meter dash, senior Zander Cruzan delivered a solid performance, finishing fifth in his heat with a time of 45.61 seconds, earning a place in the quarterfinals.

Zander Cruzan will race in the 400-meter dash quarterfinals on Friday at 7:50 p.m. CT.
The top 12 finishers in each event will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, scheduled for June 11–14.
