UNC and New Mexico Split DH Saturday

The Bears defeated the Lobos 15-11 in game one, with the host recording a 13-4 triumph in the nightcap.
UNC guaranteed at least a split in the four-game series and wins the series with a victory in Sunday's finale, set for a noon start.
Trailing 9-4, after five innings, the Bears rallied with two in the sixth, four in both the seventh and ninth frames and one tally in the eighth.
UNC cut the deficit to three with two runs on three hits in the sixth. In the seventh, the first four Bears reached and trimmed the margin to 9-8, before Tony Castonguay put UNC in front 10-9, with a 2-out triple, plating a pair.
Carter Monda and Jake King paced UNC with three hits each, while Jake Bullard, James Wright and Brett Barber tallied two knocks each.
Castonguay delivered a triple and drove in four, while King totaled three RBIs. Bullard, Barber and Wright notched a pair of runs batted in each.
Brady Hudson delivered a scoreless sixth inning on the bump and earned his first win of the season and first in a Bears uniform.
In the nightcap, Northern Colorado jumped on New Mexico 2-0 in the top of the first. The Lobos answered in the bottom of the frame.
Each side scored in the next two at-bats. UNC tallied solo markers in the second and third, with New Mexico plating two and four, respectively.
The Lobos pushed the margin to 10-4, after four innings. They tacked on two more in the fifth and another in the sixth.
Trey Obias and Brandon Sanchez accounted for two hits each, while five other Bears added one each.
