GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado continues its road trip, when the Bears head to The Land of Enchantment for a four-game series against New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Both sides enter at 2-2 after splitting the opening weekend on the road.
UNC won games two and four at Utah Tech.
Jake King paced the offense, hitting .438, with three runs scored, four RBIs and two doubles, earning Summit League Top Performer of the Week honors.
A.J. Carter hit .429, while Kai Wagner slugged .529 with a home run and a double.
Jack Tuttle and Hunter Gibson earned victories on the mound, while Dylan Smith punched out a team-high six batters. Tuttle recorded a save.
New Mexico secured a win over Austin Peay on opening day at the MLB Desert Invitational before falling against UC Irvine. The Lobos closed out the event with a victory over Seton Hall before being shut out at Arizona Tuesday.
Mountain West Network will carry all four games.
The Bears and Lobos play single games Friday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at noon, with a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday. All times are mountain.
