Bears Add Two More All-Time Marks to Wrap Up Strong Weekend in Reno

Corder and Beckford climb the UNC record books as Northern Colorado posts multiple top-10 finishes on day two.
RENO, Nev. – Northern Colorado wrapped up its opening weekend of the 2025-26 indoor season with another strong showing on day two, highlighted by two more UNC Top-10 All-Time marks and a pair of podium finishes in the triple jump.
The Bears opened the morning with a standout performance in the women's triple jump, where Camaria Corder delivered a big leap of 12.18m (39' 11.5"), placing second overall and moving to No. 2 on the UNC All-Time list. On the men's side, Kaliff Guevara secured a fourth-place finish in the triple jump with a solid mark of 14.02m (46' 0").
Northern Colorado continued its momentum on the track, led by Daniel Beckford, who impressed in both rounds of the men's 60 hurdles. After qualifying third in the prelims with a 7.99, Beckford stormed to a runner-up finish in the final, clocking 7.93; a time that cements him as No. 2 in UNC's Top-10 All-Time.
The Bears added several more strong performances across the sprint events. Donice Ezealah finished 13th in the women's 60 hurdles prelims (8.97), while Kiana Van Haaren and Edgar Garcia represented UNC in the 60 dash prelims, finishing 32nd (7.90) and ninth (6.91), respectively. In the men's 400, Mark Miller posted a top-10 finish, taking sixth overall with a time of 49.43.
UNC capped the weekend with three total top-10 finishes between jumps, sprints, and hurdles, along with two new additions to the program record book.
The Bears will be back in action next weekend at the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi, hosted by UCCS, in Colorado Springs, Colo. December 12-13.
