Rogers Records Two UNC Top-10 Marks in Day One of Silver City Invite

Bears Open Indoor Season with Five Podium Finishes
RENO, Nev. – Northern Colorado Indoor Track & Field opened the 2025-26 indoor season with two UNC Top-10 All-Time performances from Tyler Rodgers, a first-place finish from Logan Gullett, and five total podium finishes.
Kiana Van Haaren picked up where she left off last season, finishing third in the long jump with an impressive 5.86m (19' 2.75") leap. Rogers then followed up in the long jump and high jump, finishing with marks of 7.10m (23' 3.5") (No. 9 UNC All-Time) and 2.05m (6' 8.75") (No. 5 UNC All-Time), both good to break into the record books.
Gullet followed with the only first place finish of the day, winning the men's mile with a time of 4:23.32.
Newcomer Monique Stewart made the podium with a third-place finish in the 800 run with 2:14.40.
The team wrapped up day one of competition with the men's 200 dash, with Raphael Egbuchilem (9, 21.61) and Edgar Garcia (10, 21.76) rounding out the top-10 finishes of the day.
The Bears return to competition tomorrow morning, starting with the women's triple jump. Live results and additional meet details are available here.
