PREVIEW: Bears Set for Big Sky Championships

GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the 2025 Big Sky Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1, in Bozeman, Montana.
 
Hosted by Montana State, the meet will take place at Bridger Creek Golf Course, a venue known for its rolling terrain and crisp fall conditions. The women's 5K championship race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. MT, followed by the men's 8K championship at 11:35 a.m. MT.
 
The Bears are looking to qualify for the NCAA Mountain Regionals on November 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Northern Colorado cross country capped its regular season at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Invitational, testing itself against some of the nation's top programs at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri.
 
In the women's 6K, Regina Mpigachai continued her standout season with another strong performance, finishing 33rd overall out of 346 runners with a time of 20:22.4. Sabina Stroia followed in 22:10.1, with Brooke Elfert (22:40.9), Ania Magdesian (22:44.3), and Claire Nowels (23:16.1) rounding out Northern Colorado's top five. The Bears placed 37th as a team in a deep and competitive field.
 
On the men's side, Logan Gullett once again led the Bears, crossing the line in 26:44.3 to finish 221st overall. He was followed by Noah Osmond (27:00.1), Max Roll (27:23.4), Hunter Kenney (27:47.9), and Noah Mayoral De Anza (28:36.4), as the team finished 31st overall.
