GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Soccer (3-9-5, 2-3-1 Big Sky) hits the road this week for its final two regular-season matchups, taking on Idaho and Eastern Washington in a crucial Big Sky stretch.
The Bears will first travel to Moscow, Idaho, to face the Vandals on Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. MDT/6 p.m. PDT at Guy Wicks Field, before heading to Cheney, Washington, for a Sunday afternoon matchup against Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. MDT/12 p.m. PDT. Both matches will stream live on ESPN+.
Northern Colorado enters the week after splitting its final home weekend, earning a commanding 3-0 win over Idaho State before falling 1-0 to Weber State. Goalkeeper Kaya Lindberg was a standout across both matches, totaling 18 saves while allowing just one goal, a performance that earned her Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week honors. It marked Lindberg's third career Big Sky weekly award and second for the Bears this season.
Offensively, Lexi Tuite has continued to spark the attack, finding the back of the net in the win over Idaho State and leading the Bears with consistent shot creation.
With two matches left, the Bears will look to climb the conference standings and secure a postseason berth in a tightly contested race, where just one win separates third and seventh place.
