Bears Send Four to NCAA West Regionals

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado qualified four entries into the NCAA West First Round – hosted by Arkansas – in Fayetteville, Arkansas, May 22-25.

The four entries doubled the number from last season and matched the most in program history in the NCAA Division I era.
To mirror the format of the national meet, the First Round will be contested over four days with alternating men's and women's programs. The NCAA East First Round takes place the same weekend in Lexington, Ky. – hosted by Kentucky. The top 12 in each event advance to Eugene, Ore., for the 2024 NCAA Championships (June 5-8).
Jerome Campbell ranked 13th in the 110-meter Hurdles and Jesse Hayward, 33rd in the 800-meter race competes Wednesday.
Regina Mpigachai, 33rd in the 800 meters in a time of 2:05.96 and Alexia Austin, 46th in the 100-meter Hurdles, with a time of 13:38, take to the track Thursday.
Campbell and Austin open their respective days, with both hurdlers racing at 5 p.m. In the 800m, Hayward and Mpigachai run at 6:50 p.m.
The top 24 times in the first rounds advance to the quarterfinals Friday and Saturday, with the top 12 in each event advancing to Eugene, Ore.
