Bears Drop Hard-Fought Battle in Regional Opener

STILLWATER, Okla. – Northern Colorado dropped a hard-fought battle 6-0 against No. 5 Oklahoma State at Cowgirl Stadium in the Stillwater Regional.
Erin Caviness tossed a complete game – her 20th of the season – allowing six runs, scattering 10 hits and striking out two.
Ella Gonzales and Sabrina Javorsky registered an infield single each.
The Cowgirls tallied one run in the bottom of the first and two more in the third. They tallied six hits through the first five frames but totaled four runs on six knocks in the sixth inning.
UNC takes on Michigan at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in an elimination game. The Wolverines suffered a 4-3 loss to Kentucky in a walk-off in game one of the regional.
