Season Ends with a Heartbreaking Walk-off by Michigan

STILLWATER, Okla. – Northern Colorado's season ended with a tough 4-2 loss to Michigan Saturday at Cowgirl Stadium in the Stillwater Regional.
Despite being grouped with three teams from Power 5 conferences, the Bears never appeared overmatched in either contest.
Ella Gonzales accounted for two hits and Lauren Strathearn recorded an RBI single for UNC. Isabelle DiNapoli registered a no-decision, tossing 6.0 innings. She allowed two runs – one unearned – on three hits and four walks, with one strikeout.
The Bears built a 2-0 lead through two and a half innings.
Gonzales put UNC up 1-0, with a two-out solo home run in the first inning. Strathearn lined a single down the left-field line, scoring Jaycie Gandert, who led off the third with a base-on-balls.
The Wolverines answered with one in the third and tied the game in the sixth with an unearned tally. They walked it off on a two-out two-run home run in the seventh.
