J.B. Hall Jr. Joins UNC Football Coaching Staff

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado head football coach Ed Lamb is excited to announce the hiring of J.B. Hall Jr. who will serve as the Bears' pass game coordinator and safeties coach.
"I'm excited to welcome Coach Hall and his family to the University of Northern Colorado," Lamb said. "He's going to fit in well within our program and is a tremendous asset to our student-athletes."
Hall Jr. is excited to return to Colorado.
"I would like to thank Coach Lamb and Coach Hadley for this opportunity," Hall Jr. said. "My family and I are fired up to be home in Colorado, work with great people, and coach excellent men. UNC is a special place and I'm eager to serve our program and community."
Hall Jr. comes to UNC after coaching the previous season at Utah Tech.
At UTU, he was the defensive pass game coordinator, cornerbacks coach, and special teams coordinator.
In 2022, Hall Jr. was a special teams analyst and Georgia Tech.
He also spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at three Big Sky schools, including time as safeties coach and assistant special teams coordinator at Idaho State (2019-21), and coached cornerbacks at both Sacramento State (2018) and Montana (2015-17).
Hall Jr. began his coaching career as a defensive graduate assistant at Colorado (2013-14). He played football collegiately at Adams State, where he was a wide receiver for four seasons from 2008-12. Hall Jr. graduated from Adams State in 2013 with his bachelor's degree in human performance and physical education. He and his wife, Marissa, are the parents of three children - Tre, McKenna, and Maya.
