Bears Open Season With Weber State
GREELEY, Colo. – University of Northern Colorado Athletics has announced a schedule change for the season opening football game against Weber State. The contest, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 29, will now be played on Friday, August 28 at Nottingham Field at 7 p.m.
The schedule change follows the recent announcement of permanent lighting being added to Nottingham Field. The adjustment provides an opportunity to showcase UNC Football during the first week of the season.
"We're excited for the opportunity to move this game to Friday night," said Darren Dunn, Director of Athletics. "It allows us the opportunity to highlight our program in a unique way to start the season and create an exciting atmosphere for our fans under the lights at Nottingham Field."
Fans who have already purchased season tickets will be able to use them for the new date. Tickets for the 2026 season are now available for purchase through the UNC Ticket Office or online at UNCBears.com/Tickets.
