Weekend Slate Begins Friday at UCCS

GREELEY, Colo. – The indoor campaign continues as the Bears make the short trip to Colorado Springs, Colo. to participate in the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi, running Dec. 13-14.
Friday's events include the pentathlon and the first day of the heptathlon, along with the weight throw, pole vault, and long jump. Running events will begin in the afternoon, starting with the women's pentathlon 800-meter and concluding with the men's 3,000-meter final.
Saturday's schedule mirrors Friday's, opening with the second day of the heptathlon. Field events will feature the shot put, triple jump, and high jump. The women's 60-meter hurdles final will begin the running events, with the 4x400-meter relay wrapping up the meet.
Bears in the Rankings
The Bears carry seven top-50 national marks including an NCAA-leading effort from freshman Zander Cruzan in the 400-meter. Junior Jerome Campbell stands 15th at 200-meters and 32nd in the 60-meters based on his times at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
Senior Regina Mpigachai stands fifth in the mile, while fellow senior Wendira Moss holds the 24th spot in the 400-meters and 32nd in the 200-meters. Sophomore Alexia Austin rounds out the ranking at 41st in the 60-meter hurdles.
