Regina Mpigachai Ranked 22nd Nationally by FloTrack After Historic Regional Performance

AUSTIN, Texas -- Northern Colorado's Regina Mpigachai continues to make history, earning the No. 22 spot in FloTrack's latest College XC Rankings presented by HOKA after a record-breaking performance at the NCAA DI Mountain Regional Championships.
Competing on the Washoe County Golf Course in Reno, Nevada, Mpigachai placed third with a time of 19:54.4, becoming the first runner in Northern Colorado's NCAA Division I era to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Her finish also secured the highest individual placement by a UNC athlete at Regionals and led the Bears to a program-best 14th-place finish in the 19-team field.
Mpigachai, a junior from Geita, Tanzania, has been a standout all season, defeating competitors from powerhouse programs and excelling at every major meet. Her ranking at No. 22 reflects her consistent success and positions her among the nation's best as she heads into the NCAA DI National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Madison, Wisconsin.
