GREELEY, Colo. – Jaron Rillie (men's basketball) and Tatum West (women's basketball) garnered MyGreeley.Com UNC Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances against Northern Arizona Dec. 30.
Rillie, a senior guard from Sydney, Australia, tallied a career-high 18 points, with four rebounds and four assists in the Bears' 92-77 win in the Big Sky opener against Northern Arizona Saturday, Dec. 30. He hit 6 of 7 from the field, including both attempts from 3-point range and added 4 of 6 at the charity stripe.
West, a freshman forward from Combine, Texas, scored a season-high 18 points, as Northern Arizona narrowly defeated Northern Colorado 76-72 in the Big Sky Conference opener for both teams. West's 18 points came on 8-for-10 shooting from the floor. She hauled in nine rebounds and recorded a block and a steal.
Both teams compete in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge Wednesday before returning home Saturday, Jan. 6 as part of a doubleheader against Denver.
