Bears and Bengals Face-Off on the Road

GREELEY, Colo. -- The Northern Colorado softball team takes on Idaho State for the second weekend of Big Sky Conference action this Friday and Saturday, April 7-8, in Pocatello, Idaho.
Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. (MT), with Saturday's game set to start at 12:30 p.m.
Northern Colorado enters the weekend with an overall record of 13-16 and a 1-2 mark in conference play. Idaho State holds an 8-17 overall record and the games will be the first Big Sky matches for the Bengals this season.

- Lead-off hitter Lauren Strathearn leads the Big Sky with a .387 batting average, recording 36 hits (also a Big Sky best) in 93 at-bats. She also leads the team with a .418 on-base percentage.
- Alyssa Wenzel leads the Bears with 20 runs scored on teh season and with 42 total bases.
- Senior pitcher Erin Caviness leads the Big Sky in strikeouts, having stuck out 90 batters so far this season. She is also second in the Big Sky for innings pitched with 90.1.
- Sophomore pitcher Isabelle DiNapoli is third in the Big Sky for strikeouts with 55 and fourth in innings pitched with 74.1.
