Caviness Earns Co-Pitcher of the Week Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah – After picking up two wins and helping the Northern Colorado softball team win the weekend series against Montana, senior pitcher Erin Caviness has been named the Big Sky's Co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The Thornton, Colo., native threw 12.0 innings and two complete games for the Bears. In the two victories, the senior only conceded a pair of runs through 12 innings and added six strikeouts on the weekend. Caviness now has 107 strikeouts this season, which leads the Big Sky.
This is the first weekly honor of the season for Caviness, and the second for the Bears.
The UNC softball team hits the road this weekend, taking on Weber State, April 21-22.
