Campbell Cruises to NCAA Finals for 60m Hurdles

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Northern Colorado freshman hurdler Jerome Campbell crushed his time in 60-meter hurdles in the preliminaries at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday night.
Campbell won his heat, and placed second overall in the prelims, with a time of 7.58, besting his previous mark of 7.63 which was already a Big Sky Conference and Northern Colorado record.
The top-eight finishers in the event advance to the finals for the 60m hurdles, as the second-place finisher in the prelims, Campbell will be competing for the national title in the event, which will be held tomorrow night at 7:40 p.m. (MT). He also becomes the first UNC track and field athlete to compete for a national title at the Division I level.
