Bears taking on second-place Bobcats in Bozeman

Opening Tip
• Northern Colorado finishes its three-game roadstand taking on second-place Montana State this Saturday, Feb. 4, in Bozeman, Mont. Tip-off against the Bobcats is set for 4 p.m. (MT)
vs Montana State
• The Bears are 17-17 in their Division I history against Montana State. The Bobcats have won the previous three meetings, and the last win for UNC was on Dec. 2, 2021 by a score of 77-75. The last time UNC won in Bozeman was on March 7, 2020, by a score of 75-61.
• Last month Montana State won the contest in Greeley, defeating UNC, 77-56, on Jan. 5. The bears faced a 39-20 deficit at halftime, but battled back in the second half shooting 48% from the field.
Last Time Out
UNC's game at Montana this past Thursday came down to the wire, as the Grizzlies narrowly defeated the Bears 69-67. Daylen Kountz led the Bears in scoring, tallying 18 points while shooting 6-for-16 from the field. UNC kept Montana from scoring behind the arc, as the Grizzlies only hit 4-or-16 from three-point land.
Leading the Pack
• Senior guard Dalton Knecht has posted 13 games this season in which he has led the Bears in scoring.
• Through 22 games this season Knecht leads the Big Sky for scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game, which also ranks 18th in the nation. Knect also leads the Big Sky win three-point percentage (40.3%).
Freshmen Bests
• Freshman Brock Wisne had a career-best night at Sacramento State (Jan. 12) putting up 12 points, shotting 5-for-11, including hitting one three pointer.
• Fellow freshman Langston Reynolds set career-highs in points (12), minutes played (17), field goals made (5), three-pointers made (2), and steals (1) in the loss to Montana State on Jan. 5.
