CHIANTE TRAMBLE | GUARD | UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI | EDMOND, OKLA.
A 6-foot-2 guard from Edmond, Oklahoma, Tramble arrives in Greeley after spending the past season at The University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles, following a standout career at Independence Community College.
At Southern Miss, Tramble averaged 3.6 points and 1.1 assists per game while shooting an efficient 78 percent from the free throw line and 36 percent from beyond the arc, showcasing his perimeter shooting ability at a high level.
During his time at Independence CC, Tramble started all 28 games for the Pirates and established himself as one of the most dynamic players in the country. He averaged 23.3 points per game on 46.3 percent shooting, while contributing 3.9 rebounds, 134 assists and 43 steals, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. A First Team All-Conference selection, Tramble earned National Player of the Week honors twice and led the KJCCC in both scoring and assists. He ranked among the nation's top scorers, recording six 30-point performances, including a season-high 41 points against Hutchinson CC.
"We are so excited to get the commitment from Chiante Tramble to join our program for the 26-27 season. Chiante is exactly what we were looking for in our final perimeter spot for this roster. An experienced physical guard with the ability to knock down shots and score from all three levels. Chiante was one of the top junior college players in America as a freshman at Independence CC in Kansas and played a substantial role on a good Southern Mississippi team last year as a true sophomore. He will fit in perfectly with our other perimeter players and will help fill the void with the graduation of some of our great guards from last year, such as Quinn Denker and Zach Bloch! Finally, his personality and confidence will be a great fit our team! UNC, Greeley, and all of Northern Colorado will really enjoy Chiante next year with the Bears" stated Head Coach, Steve Smiley.
"Chiante is a high-level competitor who impacts the game in multiple ways. His basketball IQ stands out. He reads situations well and consistently puts himself and his teammates in positions to succeed. As a leader, he sets the tone with his work ethic, communication, and unselfish approach, earning the trust of coaches and teammates alike" said Program Director and AAU Coach, Paul Harvey.
