KAIDON RAYFIELD| FORWARD | UTSA |OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA.
A 6-foot-8 forward from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rayfield joins the Bears after spending the 2025–26 campaign at UTSA. In his freshman season, he appeared in 26 games with 13 starts, averaging 6.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while logging 517 total minutes. He shot 39.0 percent from the field and added 62 made field goals, along with 41 free throws. Rayfield also contributed 20 assists, 17 blocks, and 19 steals, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor.
Prior to his collegiate career, Rayfield was a highly regarded prospect out of high school. He earned three-star status from 247Sports and Rivals while playing his senior season at PHH Prep in Arizona, where he was ranked No. 27 at his position by Rivals. Before transferring to PHH Prep, Rayfield starred at Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma, where he was rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and ranked as the No. 1 player in the state.
During his junior season at Putnam City North, Rayfield earned a spot on The Oklahoman's Super 5 third team after averaging 16 points, eight rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, establishing himself as one of the top forwards in the region.
"We're thrilled to add Kaidon Rayfield to our roster, and his commitment fills a huge need on our squad. As the portal closed and the dust settled with our returning players and our initial recruits, it was apparent that our greatest need would be bigger, versatile forwards to connect our roster together. Kaidon is a perfect fit for what our team needed! An extremely talented and highly recruited player out of high school, Kaidon had a great freshman season last year at UTSA in a premier conference, The American. His natural position for us will be the power forward position, but his skill level will allow him to play both forward spots on the perimeter, and his athleticism and size will allow him to compete all over the floor. Already an extremely productive college player, Kaidon's upside and potential is through the roof, and we're excited to work with him as he continues to develop! UNC, the city of Greeley, and all Northern Colorado will enjoy cheering Kaidon on next year with the Bears" said Head Coach, Steve Smiley.
