Pendleton-Helm Completes Staff with Tori Martinez

Tori Martinez joins the UNC softball staff as an assistant coach
GREELEY, Colo. – Head softball coach Dedeann Pendleton-Helm completed her inaugural staff at Northern Colorado with the hiring of Tori Martinez. Martinez makes her way up I25 from Trinidad State College to Greeley.
"Tori is a perfect fit for our UNC coaching staff and our softball program. Her coaching style, philosophy and values completely align," Pendleton-Helm said. "She brings experience working with the outfield, infield and catchers but most importantly she brings a strong passion and love for the game. I am truly excited to work alongside Tori."
Martinez has spent the past two seasons at Trinidad State College as an assistant coach. In 2021, she was a part of a staff that helped the program to its third Region 9 Championship.
She not only coached at Trinidad State but played too from 2015-17. There she played in the outfield hitting .337 and helping the program to its first-ever Region 9 Championship in 2017.
Martinez will reunite with some of her former student-athletes in Jayden Gandert and Angelique Navarro in the Blue & Gold.
