Bears drop contest Mavericks, look for series win Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. – Northern Colorado couldn't quite find a rhythm at the dish on Saturday at Tal Anderson Field as Omaha tied up the series at one apiece with a 10-0 victory in seven innings.
Garrett Fisher and Shaydon Kubo each continued their good series offensively. Each notched a hit while Fisher earned a base knock and a free pass.
Meanwhile, Josh Glenn added to his reached base safely streak. The graduate has made it to first safely in 14 straight games now.
Runs from the Mavericks in the first, second, third and fourth innings put the Bears in a deep hole to climb out of.
While Ashton Mansur did blank Omaha in the fourth and fifth innings, giving his squad a chance, two more runs in the seventh frame put UNC over the limit and handed the home side the victory, 10-0.
