Baseball unable to keep pace with Omaha in final game of series

OMAHA, Neb. – Cade Moeller continued his success at the plate this season and Sam Colehower logged in 3.1 scoreless innings but Northern Colorado couldn't find a way past the Mavericks on Sunday, falling 7-0.
Dylan Day began the day on the bump for the Bears. The Righthanded sophomore go through the first and second innings, striking out three.
Omaha capitalized in the middle parts of the afternoon, though, pushing five runs across in the third inning and two in the fourth.
Once Sam Colehower entered the contest, things calmed down for UNC. The redshirt junior from Greenwood Village, Colorado went 3.1 innings, surrendering just three hits.
Freshman Kevin Sharp dove in the fray in the ninth frame. The youngster struckout two of the three batters he faced to finish off the day.
A late-game rally wasn't in the cards for Carl Iwasaki's crew, handing the Mavericks the 7-0 on Sunday.

UNC will head south to Colorado Springs for a midweek date with Air Force before diving back in to Summit League play next Friday, April 15 against South Dakota State at 2 p.m. Admission to Jackson Field is always free.
