Baseball wraps up California road trip at Saint Mary's

Both Josh Glenn and Aaron Garcia recorded hits for the Bears. For Garcia, it was the freshman's first career hit as a Bear.
Saint Mary's offense proved too much to handle, though. Multiple runs in the first, second and third innings, as well as a crooked number in the sixth, created a hole too deep to dig out of.
On the mound, Jack Tuttle and Owen Lockner both turned in a solid appearance. Tuttle pitched 2.2 innings, giving up one unearned run with three strikeouts. Lockner pitched one full inning with one run and three strikeouts.
UNC jumped on the scoreboard in the top of the ninth. Carson Gross earned a lead-off walk and was determined to make it home before the day ended. A passed ball and two wild pitches later, the Bears had its first run of the day.
Northern Colorado's rally would be cut short, though, falling 18-1.

What's Ahead
Northern Colorado will return to Greeley for a few days before continuing east to Saint Louis for another four-game set next weekend. UNC will play its first home game at Jackson Field this season on March 8 against Air Force.
